01 Sep Inflammation… how to tame it
It’s VERY important to understand how inflammation is helpful AND harmful.
Please know that inflammation is the body’s repair/defense system. Whenever there is invasion or tissue damage from a cut, scrape, break, sprain or strain the immune system deploys the rescue and repair crew. Inflammation is the process of creating and delivering specialized cells that repair damage AND fight foreign invaders. This system is known as the IMMUNE SYSTEM which is composed of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and the glands that create and secrete the cells that make up the rescue and repair crew.
Think of your immune system as a surveillance and security system. Whenever damage or foreign invaders are detected, the rescue and repair crew is deployed. Once the damage repair is complete or once the foreign invaders have been completely eradicated then the rescue and repair crew go inactive until the next time they are needed. Note that during rescue and repair operations, the area that is being worked on becomes CROWDED due to the MASSIVE influx of rescue and repair workers. Again, when the job is done, these workers are supposed to go away after a job well done.
Now, imagine what would have if there was CONSTANT injury or infection of foreign invaders. What do you think happens? Think the compromised areas would ALWAYS be crowded? Think it would be hard for normal function to be carried out? Think it would stress out or deplete the rescue and repair crew?
Certainly this emergency system isn’t designed to work so hard day and night, year after year. Imagine what it must be like living in a neighborhood where there is a WAR taking place. Imagine the damage to people’s homes, the civilian casualties, the damage to infrastructure and the absence of peace and recovery. It has been estimated that in the 20th century 100 million (100,000,000) people died due to wars. Can you believe that 70 million (70,000,000) of those people were innocent CIVILIANS?
Now, imagine if there is an unending war going on in your body. It would halt normal function and keep the body locked in varying degrees of CHRONIC INFLAMMATION.
What can cause this? The presence of irritants and foreign invaders that keep the emergency response crew busy day and night. Some of these foreign invaders are:
NOT PROPERLY DIGESTED FOOD PARTICLES
MAN-MADE OILS USED AS FAT SUBSTITUTES
CHRONIC MENTAL STRESS also depletes the emergency response system.
These are just SOME of the foreign invaders that can keep the Immune System constantly active. Remember that an over-active immune system disrupts normal body functions and creates long-term malfunction in the body.
Once this gets momentum, people’s bodies can develop:
NEED FOR CONSTANT MEDICATION
Common conditions that people have due to chronic inflammation may include:
CHRONIC MEDICATION USE/ABUSE
Medication can help to SUPPRESS the immune system. Anti-inflammatory drugs such as NSAIDS and steroids are often used to attempt to quiet the emergency response team. The long-term problem that can come is that a suppressed immune system can NEVER repair the true damage and the terrible process continues.
What can you do about this?
The answer is to locate and ELIMINATE the foreign invaders. Typical antibiotics and detoxification programs only scratch the surface by treating apparent systems short-term.
A LONG-TERM solution should include specialized testing to determine which invaders are actually CAUSING the inflammation. In addition, a sound plan to eliminate the CAUSE must be utilized.
Unfortunately, most approaches rely on ordinary medical tests that only determine what MEDICATION to use to treat the symptoms.
Gratefully, forward-thinking physicians think outside the box and test for the presence of foreign invaders and use NATURAL substances to restore peace and health.
Oftentimes these cause-focused tests look for:
INTESTINAL WALL IMBALANCE
If you have or want to avoid the effects of chronic inflammation, be sure to include an approach centered on investigating the CAUSE of your problems.
